9/29/24 - Your BLU Attendee Update! Things you need to know

This email will cover:

• Our COVID Policy
• BLU Travel Reservations (hospitality suite and the bus to the retreat)
• Zoom Q and A sessions on Thursday the 3rd, and... 
• The Return of the Pool Party!

Note... the actual address of the retreat site, and the hospitality hotel will be revealed next week for security reasons.  We take your security seriously!

The entire country is in the middle of yet another COVID surge, in addition to flu season starting. We are working hard to keep our community – near and far – as safe as possible. But we need your help! Masks are welcomed during the entire retreat, and we recommend that all attendees do a few things before coming. 

 We WILL be testing everyone prior to entering the retreat site or the hospitality suite / bus at LAX.  Those who test positive will not be allowed to continue on into the retreat. We will not be able to offer refunds at that late date, but we will offer a credit toward next year's retreat.  Please read our entire COVID Guidelines for a thorough understanding of our protocols, tips and where to get free COVID tests.

• Test prior to coming (free COVID tests are available again!)

• Minimize "high-risk" activities between now and the retreat, in other words, places where you will be in close contact with large groups, whether indoor or outdoor.

• Wear a high-quality mask (N95 or KN95) if you have to be in a high-risk situation.

• Opt to keep our community safe by staying home if you or someone in your      household, or someone you had close contact with has tested positive for COVID on or after October 6th, or... if YOU have COVID symptoms. 

Each year, BLU provides a travel plan to help out of towners and those who need transportation to the site.  Our travel plan is based in the LAX area.

We have several hospitality suites for those who will be arriving in Los Angeles on Thursday, Oct 10th, where you can share the rooms with others (slumber party style - don't worry, everyone will be in a bed!). 

• The bus to the site will leave the hospitality suite (at an LAX hotel) at 1pm on Friday. 

• If you are flying into LAX, you can take the free hotel shuttle to join us... the hotel is blocks away from the airport!

• The cost to spend the night with us in the hospitality suite is $50.  The cost to take the bus to the site is $75.  The total package is $125.

• If you haven't reserved your spot for the travel plan yet, make sure to sign up by Friday, October 4th. There are still 15 spaces available, so act quickly before the bus fills up!

We will be hosting two Zoom Q and A sessions THIS THURSDAY, October 3rd. Register for a meeting by clicking on one of the links below.

Session #2 7pm PT / 8pm Mountain / 9pm Central / 10pm ET / 2am GMT
